I’m Ansley – The Vegetarian Disciplinarian.

Alors, c'est moi.
Now, images of scrawny librarians with their sharp, bony hands on their waist, scolding children may come to mind, but the ‘Vegetarian Disciplinarian’ is positively nothing of the sort. (For the record, you can be as loud as you’d like while you’re here).
It’s my clever way of saying that a Vegetarian lifestyle is extremely laid back and very enjoyable, indeed.
Baking and Photography are two of my favourite ways to spend my time. Here’s a little background of each -
When I was 7, I made my first batch of muffins – by myself. Of couse I made a childish mistake, and added 1 cup of salt instead of 1 teaspoon, but from then on, my fascination and adoration with baking continued to grow. By 12, I had made my first pate-a-choux, and a few great batches of cream puffs/eclairs. The day I turned 14, I walked into my town’s bakery, and literally demanded a job.
Currently I shoot with a Nikon D40x, and alternate between Nikkor 55-200mm and 18-55mm lenses. My first camera was a Cannon, I belive one of the first few compact digital cameras they made. I wore that puppy out – and eventually I dropped it from my window, trying to get a shot of a bird outside my room – and it’s completely shattered. Only the memory card survives. I also collect cameras – my great-grandmother gave me her old brownie-box Canon, and two other small turn-of-the-century cameras. They are 3 of my most prized possesions.
So journey along with me, as I grow as a photographer, homey-baker, and as a woman, I promise we’ll have fun, and a few cookies along the way.
Love,
The VD,
Ansley.
